The new Gourmet Butcher Block is made of premium end-grain Hard Rock Maple and coated with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This butcher block can handle everything from light slicing to heavy-duty chopping. At nearly 3 ft tall, this butcher block is the ideal height for food preparation tasks. Built to last for generations and to withstand decades of daily use, it is a must-have for the serious chef. The Gourmet Butcher Block features a 10-inch thick hard rock maple butcher block with end-grain construction that is easy on knives. When cutting or chopping, the end-grain wood fibers absorb the impact of the blade, keeping your knives sharper longer. The malleable and forgiving end-grain surface is also resistant to nicks and gouges, which prevents bacteria from entering the wood, keeps the butcher block looking new longer, and increases its longevity.

When caster wheels are added to an order at the time of purchase the legs are pre-drilled and cut in production to accept the casters.
