Le Classique

With its simple classic design, Le Classique makes a welcome addition to any room. It features an inviting rich red cherry table top supported by gently tapered solid coal black legs and base. Le Classique is available in many sizes and with several options including utensil drawers, slatted shelves and locking caster wheels so you can customize it to fit your unique needs.

Le Classique features a 1.5-inch thick cherry table top with edge-grain construction. Cherry is a premium hardwood that combines strength and durability with a warm, inviting glow. The top is coated with a Varnique semi-gloss finish that can easily be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Varnique is durable, virtually maintenance free, and is not harmed by most household cleaning products.

Le Classique is available in multiple sizes. Options include one or two painted black slatted shelves, one or two (60-inch length only) utensil drawers and four commercial grade locking caster wheels. Please note: If you would like the caster wheels or shelves with your table, please be sure to add them to your order when you make your purchase. These items are made to order. When caster wheels or shelves are added to an order at the time of purchase the legs are pre-drilled and cut in production to accept them. You will not be able to easily obtain or add caster wheels or shelves to your table separately at a later date, so if you think you will want either of these items with your table, please use the drop down menu above to include them with your order.

Please note: This butcher block table comes with a Varnique semi-gloss finish that seals and protects the wood. The Varnique finish gives the piece a fine furniture look, and eases maintenance, but is not meant to be cut upon directly. If you require a cutting surface, we recommend several options:

1. You can purchase a separate butcher block cutting board to use atop the surface of this table. We have many butcher block cutting boards to choose from. Click here to see our full selection.
2. You can sand off the Varnique semi-gloss finish from the top of the butcher block table (while leaving it on the sides) using a piece of fine steel wool (please consult a finish carpenter if you have questions about how this is best done). If you choose to sand off the surface of your butcher block table, you will need to then oil the surface and maintain it as you would an oil finish butcher block.

Some of the steps they take to accomplish their “green" status include manufacturing wood products that emit far less carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane and other gases than processing non-wood substitutes; using only formaldehyde free and low emission formaldehyde gluing processes in manufacturing our butcher blocks; and having active recycling programs in place with 95% of all raw materials, scrap, and even their sawdust recycled as fuel to heat their kilns. Boos'sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
