The Maple Standing Block with Feet is a compact 6" wide by 6" Long and 4" thick end-grain block that sits on 4 sturdy legs. End-grain construction cushions the knife blade every time you cut, making it the perfect board for slicing meat or dicing vegetables. The beautiful wood is finished with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream. This sturdy little butcher block is perfect for small chores like chopping garlic and herbs, and it's great to use as a cheese slicing surface for parties. The Maple Butcher Block Board is so beautiful and useful, you'll want it on the kitchen counter all the time.

John Boos & Co is firmly committed to managing environmental matters as an integral part of their business practice. Some of the steps they take to accomplish their “green” status include manufacturing wood products that emit far less carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane and other gases than processing non-wood substitutes; using only formaldehyde free and low emission formaldehyde gluing processes in manufacturing our butcher blocks; and having active recycling programs in place with 95% of all raw materials, scrap, and even their sawdust recycled as fuel to heat their kilns. Boos’ sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
