Chinese Round Chopping Block with Stainless Steel Band

Constructed of 2.5-inch thick end-grain maple, the Chinese Round Chopping Block with Stainless Steel Band provides a durable cutting surface that's easy on your knives. When cutting or chopping, the end-grain wood fibers absorb the impact of the blade, keeping your knives sharper longer than with ordinary wood or acrylic boards. The forgiving end-grain surface is also resistant to nicks and gouges--which prevents bacteria from entering the wood, extends its longevity and keeps the board looking new longer. The stainless steel band adds an industrial feel to the classic checkerboard pattern, and features stainless steel handles which make lifting and moving this butcher block quick and convenient.

The Chinese Round Chopping Block with Stainless Steel Band is finished with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream. Note: this butcher block is not reversible.
