The wood is joined using Food and Drug Administration approved flue and treated with food-safe penetrating oil that protects the board and enhances the beautiful color and grain of the wood. A round cut out in one corner lets you hang the board from a hook. Paduak, also called Vermillion, comes from Malaysia and Central Africa. Strips of this brilliant red hardwood alternate with golden Yellow Heart from Brazil for a cutting board that is as beautiful as it is useful. Due to hand crafting, size is approximate.
