Inselwood Task Board

The Inselwood Task Board is made with at least 8 different hardwoods with a maple backing using a technique created by Darryle F. Inselman over 30 years ago. The 8 woods may change at any time and usually include vermillion colored Paduak from Malaysia and Central Africa, Yellow Heart from Brazil, Purple Heart from Central and South America and domestic hardwoods Mahogany, Walnut, Cherry, Ash, Oak and Maple. This reversible cutting board is made using Food and Drug Administration approved glue and treated with food-safe penetrating oil which protects the board and enhances the brilliant color and rich grain of the wood. The 8-inch by 12-inch size is so convenient, you'll be using it every time you cook, and it has a round cut out so you can hang it where it's always handy. Due to hand crafting, size is approximate.

The Inselwood Task Board is hand crafted from only the best quality domestic and exotic hardwoods from around the world. Rather than use stains and dyes which would create a uniform appearance, it features proprietary oil blends that bring out individual color and grain variations and enhances the character of each piece of wood. With re-oiling, the rich and varied wood color will grow more beautiful over time. The wood for this piece is selected for its intensity of color and richness of grain, turning an ordinary cutting board into an extraordinary piece of kitchen art.
