Medium Painted Desert Counter Block

The Medium Painted Desert Counter Block joins nine different hardwoods using Food and Drug Administration approved glue into a durable cutting surface that is so beautiful you'll keep it out even when you aren't using it. Different woods are used at various times based on availability and often include Purple Heart from Central and South America, Yellow Heart from Brazil and bright red Padauk from Malaysia and Central Africa, as well as domestic hardwoods, Black Walnut, Cherry, Ash, Oak, Birch and Mahogany. This stunning counter block has rubber feet to keep it firmly in place on your counter and is treated with food-safe penetrating oil which protects and enhances the wood. This 2-inch thick counter block is available in three sizes. Small: 12" long x 14" wide. Medium: 12" long x 24" wide. Large: 20" long x 24" wide. Due to hand crafting, sizes are approximate. The Medium Painted Desert Counter Block is hand crafted from only the best quality domestic and exotic hardwoods from around the world. Rather than use stains and dyes which would create a uniform appearance, it features proprietary oil blends that bring out individual color and grain variations and enhances the character of each piece of wood. With re-oiling, the rich and varied wood color will grow more beautiful over time. The wood for this piece is selected for its intensity of color and richness of grain, turning an ordinary cutting board into an extraordinary piece of kitchen art.
